False Caliphate

Many today are confused about the concept of the Khilāfah, many are calling for it, others are afraid of it, while some outright deny it.

A number of Muslim political activist groups have been established to bring back the Caliphate, such as:

Al-Ikhwān al-Muslimūn (The Muslim Brotherhood)
Ḥizb ut-Taḥrīr (The Liberation Party)
Al-Jamā‘ah al-Islāmīyyah (Jamaat-e-Islami)
Al-Qā‘edah, ISIS, and their types

Although their methodologies differ, yet, they have many things in common.

This book is a conversion and expansion of my Master's thesis. I have gathered many resources and have reviewed a good amount of the literature of Ḥizb ut-Taḥrīr. You will find direct references to the books of Ḥizb ut-Taḥrīr in this critical analysis. The objective of this book is to explain the pillars of Ḥizb ut-Taḥrīr's ideology vis-à-vis the Noble Qur’ān and the authentic Sunnah, and the statements and explanations of classical Muslim scholarship.

Once you near the end of the book, you will be given the opportunity to become oriented with the lens from which these movements and groups view the world. At that point, you will be able to decide for yourself if they are truly following the Noble Qur’ān and the authentic Sunnah.

Well done academic analysis of Hizbu Tahrir

I'm some one who has followed Ustadh Wasim's various social media channels for some time now. I have found him to be a balanced student of knowledge & educator who ardently follows & calls to the Qur'an & Sunnah as it it was understood by the salaf. The first 3 generations of Islam whom our prophet(may Allah's praise & peace be upon him) praised.

I looked forward to purchasing this book because it was going to be a balanced analysis of Hizbu Tahrir. The purpose of this book was not to degrade or defame the liberation party(Hizbu Tahrir). The purpose was to educate muslims whether they are those inclined to being politically active muslims who seek to restore the Islamic caliphate or just common folk. To educate them about the problems with the creed, belief's, and approach taken of Hizbu Tahrir. It is as the title suggests a critical analysis of this groups ideology, methodology, and rhetoric under the scope/lens of the Qur'an & Sunnah as it was understood by the salaf. What makes this one unique is that it is a unbiased research work. The Ustadh referenced several of HT'S own works. He highlights their good characteristics, but fairly & respectfully critiques them as well. If your someone who wishes to learn the truth about these intellectual political groups who refer to themselves as Islamic groups. Or anyone who wishes to learn the truth about the history of the Islamic caliphate. Consider purchasing this book. It's only a little more than 300 pages(minus the bibliography & Appendices)! It has cream colored pages, which makes it easy on the eyes for long reads. The book is well worth the purchase. May Allah reward the Ustadh and all involved in this work.

I have not yet completed the book, but I already see that this is a work that provides us with a deep understanding of a subgroup within Islam, and, by analyzing that subgroup in light of the Qur'an and Sunnah, we can understand how to address issues the subgroup bring up. I was not very familiar with Hizb ut-Tahrir prior to this work, although I had heard about it in passing among other groups. From what I have read so far, I think this would enlighten me to the point that I can understand fully what Hizb ut-Tahrir is and its position on things, and that provides me with a deeper understanding of the position of Ahlul Sunnah wal Jama'a. I think everyone who is interested in Islam should read this book.
